Boyd Grain has more than 100 drivers and 75 trucks that pull vans, reefers, hoppers, dumps, tankers and drop decks and deliver products throughout the United States. The company is a family owned and operated business. Boyd Grain farms more than 6,000 acres of land in Daviess County, Ind., operates two grain elevators, manages a warehouse and runs a trucking operation. The company grows corn, wheat, popcorn and double crop beans on more than 2,500 owned acres, while renting an additional 4,000 acres. The trucking division was a natural outgrowth of the grain business and hauls several types of products from fertilizer to car parts.
