I-V Coaches and Illini Swallow Lines offers charter motor coach service from offices in Champaign, Ill. and Indianapolis, Ind. The company has been in service since 1924. As Illini Lines, the company first offered service for University of Illinois students between Champaign-Urbana and Chicago using REO Coaches. In the late 1940's it merged with Indianapolis based Swallow Coaches to become Illini-Swallow Lines. Since then the company has become one of the Midwest's largest locally owned charter coach companies. The company has one of the newest fleets of coaches in the United States. Each coach is equipped with a lavatory, six CRT VHS video system, and FM stereo. Some coaches also have CD players. The trained, professional staff of 135 coach operators and staff provide safe and reliable transportation to universities, schools, corporations, churches and tour companies.
