HistorySage Homes opened its doors in 2014. Although the business is young, our team is loaded with the experience desired and needed to build a quality home. Owner, Chris Pickard, a local resident and Ankeny graduate, started learning the basics of construction working for his dad in the summers pouring concrete and installing foundations. From there he went to work for another large builder as a super-intendent. This is when Chris discovered his passion. He saw and learned so much about the good, bad and the ugly. He built relationships with the tradesmen responsible for the various areas of residential construction and personally worked with them. He knows those who take pride in what they do and will do the right thing each time. After seeing first hand the need for change in the way residential homes are being built, Chris couldn't pass up an opportunity to branch out on his own.
