HistoryThe Pool House, formerly Afford-A-Spa was established in Storm Lake, IA in 1992, then moved to Fort Dodge, IA in 2002. David Folsom started his career in pool and hot tub sales in 2005 and then acquired the business in 2006. His wife, Alicia was brought into the company in 2011. Formerly located on North 15th Street, the business upgraded and moved to a more centralized location, next to the Ridgewood Lanes Bowling Alley in 2011. They are located at 318 South 25th Street in Fort Dodge. The name Afford-A-Spa changed to The Pool House in May of 2020, though ownership and the business structure remained the same.SpecialtiesWe specialize in repairing, installing and cleaning all types of hot tubs and swimming pools. We sell in-ground and above-ground swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas and many chemicals and accessories. Our main goal is to make our customers happy! We often go out of our way to give our customers a positive experience, whether they bought a new pool or if they hired us to fix their current one!
