Founded in 2006, New Opportunities serves individuals and families. The organization was formed by the combination of the New View Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention Center and Community Opportunities. It maintains operations in Audubon, Carroll, Calhoun, Dallas and Greene counties in Iowa. New Opportunities offers energy, clothing and food assistance programs. The organization also administers the Juvenile Alcohol & Drug Education program, which works to reduce problems caused by high-risk drinking and drug use. It offers fetal alcohol syndrome presentations to students, parents and community groups, as well as counseling, assessment, treatment and prevention services. In addition, New Opportunities provides housing solutions.
