Dr. Henson is a staff physician at MercyOne Occupational Health in Des Moines. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and his Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Louisville. Dr. Henson completed medical school at the University of Louisville and residency in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his Masters of Public Health at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. Dr. Henson completed his fellowship at the University of Iowa Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Henson is enrolled in the Professional Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. Dr. Henson has over 10 years of experience in occupational medicine. He is a Medical Review Officer and is board certified in occupational medicine. In addition, he has completed certification as an independent medical examiner and has been certified by the FMCSA to perform DOT physicals.
