Kuumba Storytellers of GA Inc is a vibrant and diverse community of griots, puppeteers, musicians, and storytellers based in Atlanta, GA. They are an Affiliate of the National Association of Black Storytellers and offer a range of programs and events, including open mic performances, storytelling sessions and classes, festivals, workshops, and story swaps. With decades of experience, Kuumba Storytellers is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich tradition of black storytelling through imagination, voice, and the power of narrative.
As a dynamic collective, Kuumba Storytellers is constantly evolving and growing, welcoming teachers, actors, drummers, educators, librarians, and anyone with a passion for storytelling. They also have a youth storytelling club called Kuumba Youth Tattle Tales, providing young storytellers with a platform to develop their skills.
