The journey began in 2002 when founder Allison started making fresh and aged pasteurized cow’s milk cheeses. In 2011, she established Lakin’s Gorges Cheese, and in 2016, together with Neal, they founded East Forty Farm and Dairy.
At East Forty Farm, a custom creamery was built to produce a variety of cheeses, utilizing milk from Jersey cows. Additionally, a herd of heritage breed pigs was raised for whey-fed pork, creating a unique and sustainable farming model.
