Orion Ropeworks was established in Winslow, Maine, in March 2002. The company was created to capitalize on the legacy of local rope-making skills and experience developed in the past 30 years. Orion s 144,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehousing facility includes extensive fiber extrusion capacity that features a state-of-the-art Sima system for extruding high-strength co-polymer fibers. Orion offers the industry s broadest three-strand rope-making capability. In addition, Orion manufactures plaited and double-braid products. Quality practices at Orion have been QSLM certified by the United States government.
