History
The Orion was created inside Mt.Ararat Middle School when the school was built in 2001. It was funded by the taxpayers of MSAD#75.
Specialties
Orion Performing Arts Center is the largest theater in Maine's midcoast region (900 seats). Hours can vary, if there is a show scheduled. Inside Mt . Ararat Middle School, it is fully accessible, has a large lobby with restrooms dedicated to theater users, and is air-conditioned in summer. The large stage has theatrical lights and curtains, and a sound system. Community events are presented, as well as school events, including plays, concerts, and meetings.
