Founded in 1921, Camp Fernwood is a summer camp for girls. The camp offers a range of activities, including painting, woodworking, photography, and arts and crafts. It provides a variety of sports, such as canoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming and windsurfing. Camp Fernwood specializes in providing aerobics, soccer, archery and tennis. The camp has horseback riding, basketball, rock climbing, gymnastics and field hockey available for its members. It hosts various events, including costume parties, treasure hunts, intramural sports and carnivals. Camp Fernwood employs more than 110 people and also offers medical, food, communication and transportation services. The camp conducts daily and tripping programs. It maintains a location in Poland, Maine.
