Located on the third floor of Town Hall, the Planning and Community Development Department is responsible for a variety of land-use issues, including zoning, economic development, affordable housing and historic preservation. Department staff also work closely with elected members of the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals through the permitting process for new construction.
The department is overseen by Director Jeff Levine and includes five divisions: planning, community development, economic development, housing and preservation.
