I am widely experienced in treating anxiety and panic, mood problems, alcoholism, relationships, life transitions, co-dependency, chronic stress, grief and loss of meaning and identity from a mind/body and mindfulness perspective. I work with women and men, older adults, anxious and depressed younger adults, and include significant others as needed. I've had specialized training working with the deeper mind for rapid intervention, enhancing motivation, to transform perceptions that keep us stuck, to resolve problems resistant to change. I offer workshops to enhance communication, build resiliency, relationship skills, creativity and problem solving. Sandtray therapy is optional and available to clients. My clients use a tray of sand and miniature figures to create pictures in the tray that help grasp problems that are complicated or hard to put into words. It is a wonderful means toward a deeper insight about ourselves in our world. My in-person services, offered in a warm home office environment, are focused on helping build a stronger sense of connection with yourself and others. I am active and direct, and a strong effort is made to capture the essence of the problem by the end of the first session. Services not offered for the purpose of litigation or disability determinations. This practice accepts insurances to include BCBS, and offers a sliding scale fee.
