Habitat for Humanity-Metro West/Greater Worcester (HFH-MWGW) serves 42 towns and cities in the Greater Worcester and MetroWest Communities. Headquartered in Worcester Massachusetts, HFH-MWGW is an independent 501 (c) 3 organization affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International. HFH-MWGW was founded in 1985 by local activists who identified the need for affordable housing opportunities in the Greater Worcester area and were committed to engaging groups of community stakeholders in solving the affordable housing problem. Over the past 27 years, HFH-MWGW has completed 32 homes, providing permanent, stable homes for 45 adults and 77 children. Our future homes will be in Worcester, Auburn, and Wayland with planning underway and several other communities. HFH-MWGW has leveraged over $4.1 Million in construction resources and an amazing 11,500 hours of volunteer service.

Volunteerism: We have a number of volunteer options for both individuals and groups whether your interest is in building with us or helping out beyond a hammer and nails. Volunteers can help in many areas including construction, at our ReStore, professional services, office support, committee work, and special event planning Homebuilding: an equal opportunity program that provides simple, decent, affordable homeownership opportunities to low-earning families. Neighborhood Revitalization: We are looking to partner with disabled US Veterans in our service area by carrying out home accessibility projects and extensive interior or exterior repairs necessary to alleviate health, life, safety/code issues. Family Support: Counseling and Education: These programs and services are provided to prospective homebuyers before and after purchase. They focus on the financial and physical maintenance obligations of homeownership and include, when necessary, credit counseling and debt remediation.
