HistoryIn 1923 several Kendall Square businesses formed the Kendall Square Manufacturer's Association. The KSMA later expanded to become the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, now one of the leading chambers in the State. In 1974, as an affiliate of the Chamber of Commerce, a new Kendall Square Business Association was formed, in particular through the efforts of Jerry Meade of Heritage Travel and Norman McIver of the Cambridge Trust Company. This organization became active again in 1982 under the leadership of Marvin Fox of the F & T Corporation, a restaurant and food service company. The KSA we know today was formed by a group of like-minded people in Kendall Square who saw an opportunity to improve, promote and protect Kendall Square through the collaboration of the organizations based there.
