The first Rustic Kitchen opened at Faneuil Hall in Boston in 2001. Since then, the owners have established several more Rustic Kitchen restaurants south of Boston, including this location at the Derby Street Shoppes. Known for its creative pasta, pizza and seafood, the restaurant has earned praise from both Phantom Gourmet and Boston Magazine. There's seating at the bar, as well as a larger seating area in a separate room. The interior is decorated like a rustic Italian eatery, with dim lighting and wooden floors, as well as shelves lined with wine bottles and loaves of bread. Rustic Kitchen also hosts "The Cooking Show" on Friday evenings. Customers can buy tickets to this locally broadcast cooking demonstration and enjoy the meal that is featured.
