Dutch Village, established in 1958, is a theme park exhibiting buildings of authentic Dutch architecture, brick walkways, canals, windmills and gardens. The amenities offered by the park include farmhouses and barns, a movie theater, souvenir outlet shop, restrooms, cafeteria and dining restaurants. The various recreational activities offered by the park include Dutch folk dance performances, educational movies, animal feeding, swing rides and shoe slides. It also has a restored antique carousel, wooden shoe factory and a museum that features authentic costumes, a diorama depicting a Dutch country scene, a cheese making display, and a doll exhibit with more than 150 provincial costumes. The park also has in-house specialty shops that offer a wide variety of souvenirs, food items and imported gifts. Dutch Village organizes special events, Girls Scout programs and school and group tours. It is located in Holland, Mich.
