Founded in 1984, Universal Coating offers in-house, custom-coating services. The company occupies 85,000 square feet of production space and provides responsibility for the entire coating process. Universal Coating provides abrasive cleaning and finishing, pre-treatment applications and the final coat. The company works with nationally-recognized chemical and coating suppliers to assure consistent, reliable results. Laboratory personnel are trained in Statistical Process Control methods and carry out regularly scheduled tests of bath chemistry to make certain it remains within specified limits. The lab uses accepted Statistical Quality Control procedures and also performs pre-selected series of tests on work in process to confirm that surface preparation satisfies a client s requirements. Universal Coating has achieved Registration for ISO 9001:2000, and is headquartered in Flint, Mich.
