Established in 1965, Gideon Pond Elementary School provides academic education to more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade six. It is a part of Independent School District 191. The school offers a special course for hearing impaired children and Title I programs. The school's curriculum includes language arts, math, science, basic skills, social studies and physical education. The Gideon Pond Elementary school offers various after-school activities, such as, choir, chess and computer clubs. It has a library and media center that offers a collection of books and other study materials to enrich and support the educational program. Gideon Pond Elementary School operates Project K.I.D.S., which offers before- and after-school care programs. In addition, the school offers a variety of educational, recreational and developmental activities. Gideon Pond Elementary School is located in Burnsville, Minn.
