Started by Cassandra in 1978, the school now serves as the teaching arm of Jawaahir Dance Company.

The Cassandra School of Middle Eastern Dance offers year-round classes in Middle Eastern dance in Minneapolis, Bloomington, and St. Paul, MN. Our Minneapolis and St. Paul locations are handicapped-accessible. We teach more than 1000 students during the four ten-week terms each year, with students attending class weekly during each term. At The Cassandra School we have many different classes including: Middle Eastern dance classes for beginners through professionals Technique intensive Ballet for belly dancers The curriculum builds through multiple levels designed to challenge dancers and inspire them to develop and grow. Beginning classes provide a solid foundation in Middle Eastern dance and music. We even have our some of our instructors choreograph unique pieces specifically designed for their classes.
