Employment & Economic Assistance is a department of Dakota County in Minnesota, which was founded in 1849 and spreads across an area of more than 590 square miles. The department administers various financial assistance programs and provides support for residents to help them achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency. It offers a child care assistance program for children and low-income families. Through Dakota-Scott Counties Workforce Centers, the department provides employment and training services to economically disadvantaged youths and adults who are the residents of Dakota and Scott counties in Minnesota. Employment & Economic Assistance offers a range of medical and health care solutions, as well as helps people to purchase food. The department also maintains several housing units.
