Founded in 1928, Rochester International Airport is a part of the City of Rochester, Minn. and operated by the Rochester Airport Company, a wholly-owned division of Mayo Clinic. The airport is a Class I, Part 139 FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) certificated commercial service airport, with more than 320,000 passengers annually. Spanning an area of nearly 2,300 acres, it is classified as an Index B airport for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Services as required under 14 CFR (Code of Federal regulations) Part 139. Rochester International Airport operates two major air carriers with scheduled daily service (American Eagle and Delta). Also running one major cargo carrier with scheduled services, the Airport Business Center and The Airport Industrial Park, located on the Rochester International Airport campus, provides build to suit opportunities for interested developers and investors.
