Vetter Stone Company has been producing stone in the United States for three generations. In addition to its ability to utilize traditional stone techniques to provide historically accurate work, the company s quarry and plant use state-of-the-art equipment to provide one of the largest stone production capacities in the United States. The company's line of cut stone, called Minnesota Stones, consists of dense, durable dolomites. Dolomitic limestones contain a partial consistency of magnesium carbonate, which imparts a far greater strength than is found in typical limestone. Vetter is able to customize its stone using a variety of techniques ranging from hand carving to water-jet cutting. Minnesota Stones are available in a variety of colors and finishes, and are used in construction projects from historic building renovations to modern skyscrapers.
