History
Pastor Tony Griffin has served joyfully in ministry for 30 years. After being saved as a teenager in Virginia Beach, VA in 1981, he began Bible college training in 1986 at Tabernacle Baptist College in Virginia Beach, finishing with a Bachelors in Biblical Education in 1991. In the early years of his ministry in New Jersey, God gave him his beautiful wife Cathy, and they married in 1997. In 2008, God led Pastor Tony to Pensacola Theological Seminary in Pensacola, Fl. There he met Dr. David Teis, a successful church planter and native of Las Vegas, NV. God used him to direct Pastor Tony here in 2012. While serving in all aspects of ministry for 3 years at Liberty Baptist Church under Pastor Teis, God burdened Pastor Tony's heart to start a new Baptist church in Las Vegas. City Baptist Church became a reality in January of 2015. City Baptist church moved into a beautiful new church building in April of 2017.
