History
Kentucky born and a 1967 graduate of Western High School in Las Vegas, Dr. Dwyte E. Brooks did his undergraduate work at Northwestern University. He attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he received his D.M.D. and followed by a general practice residency in the United States Air Force. Practicing for more than 45 years, Dr. Brooks is past-president of the Southern Nevada Dental Society and Nevada Dental Association and continued his service for 13 years as the American Dental Association Delegate of Southern Nevada and is the current NDA Treasurer since 2006. His wife of 50 years, Sue, is a pediatric nurse practitioner and was the founder and driving force behind the medical Clinic on Wheels program. They are proud parents of a son, Eddy, and daughter, Rebecca, and proud of grandsons Trey and William and granddaughters Payton and Alice. Dr. Brooks is very excited about the opportunity to work with Sun Dental Center and carry on practice values of Dr. Whalen.
