Lew Carnahan has been a lawyer in Washoe County since 1971. He is a former Reno Municipal Judge and a former Washoe County District Judge as well as a former Deputy Washoe County District Attorney. He has defended in a number of high profile Washoe County criminal cases, including the case the Reno Gazette Journal called the criminal case of the millenium: the Priscilla Ford mass murder trial. For the past 17 years he has been practicing primarily in the area of criminal law, working hard to protect the rights of the accused and to insure that no one is convicted of a crime unless the State is able to prove the charge BEYOND a reasonable doubt.
