History
I knew when I walked into my great aunt Myrtle's house (she had been an antique dealer her entire adult life) I was in love with the past. I was six years old. Everything fascinated me. I still have the first old thing she gave me that day. I was able to start an antique business in 1988 while working full time as a bartender. I continued to do both for 10 years at which time I was able to quit my bartending job to buy, sell, study and enjoy vintage and antique items full time++. I have been in my current location since October of 2000. The business is constantly evolving and growing. The name--The Funk House-- comes from my own name--Funkhouser--and most definitely from the types of merchandise I carry. While I still occasionally am asked for something I do not have, most of the time we have something for everyone. Check out our website (just a small portion of what we carry) and come by! thefunkhouselasvegas.com
