Founded in 1914, Jewish Healthcare Center is a more than 140-bed, nonprofit skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Worcester, Mass. The center offers a wide range of services and facilities, including long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, an Alzheimer's unit, outpatient therapy, and assisted living residence. It operates a posthospital recovery program, and a five-to 12-days program that provides medical care and assistance for patients who have had surgery for hip fractures, knee replacements, stroke, wound care and physical surgeries. The rehabilitation center offers various amenities, including private and semiprivate air conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, telephone and television facilities. Jewish Healthcare Center also provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. Additionally, it offers assisted living services through its Eisenberg Residence facility that provides apartments, dining services, a variety of activity programs and personal care services.
