The purpose of the Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center is to preserve and enrich Jewish culture, heritage and values, and to promote the physical well being of the Jewish community. The center accomplishes this by providing social, cultural, educational, recreational and health related programs for all age groups. It provides a common meeting place for all Jewish individuals and groups, regardless of affiliation. The center strives to strengthen Jewish identity, Jewish family life, and the connection between the Jewish Community and Israel. It endeavors to strengthen Jewish continuity and encourage synagogue affiliations and support of the federation s annual campaign. The Jewish Community Center was established in the forties, with facilities in Camden and Pennsauken, N.J. The Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center was built in 1997, on the Weinberg Campus in Cherry Hill, N.J. The center hosts holiday celebrations, festivals, educational and cultural programs and social activities for the community.
