Museum Middle School, located in Yonkers, N.Y., offers education to students in grades six through eight. It has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students and offers a curriculum that includes computer science, English, foreign language, history and social sciences, mathematics, and special and physical education. It provides a variety of artifacts and museum resources that enhance the thematic program and foster research projects. The school has special gallery spaces where students construct and display museum exhibitions. It also has a library, media center, cafeteria and fitness center. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include science and mathematics Olympiad, chess tournaments and visual and performing arts.
