History
We started growing Christmas trees in 2007 on a section of our farm located on the south side of County Rt. 513 (old Rt. 24). Years ago this section was used to pasture dairy cows. After traffic growth made it impractical to move animals back and forth across the county road, and the dairy business ended, the old pasture was used for hay production. We decided to try growing Christmas trees in 2007 and have been very pleased with the results. Because our location is on the north slope of the Fox Hill range, the trees stay cooler and benefit from excellent air drainage. This has allowed us to grow altitude and cold loving species that typically struggle in New Jerseys warm climate. With healthy trees, we have been able to avoid using any pesticides and insecticides. We currently have thousands of Fraser, Canaan, Concolor, and Balsam X Fraser hybrid fir trees up to 9ft in height. We will be open weekends after Thanksgiving so that you can find and cut a tree perfect for your situation.
