Fred M. Aueron, MD, FACC, has expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, preventive cardiology, lipid disorders, and cardiovascular diagnostic dilemmas. Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Aueron practiced with The Heart Group, PA, in Millburn and Bayonne, New Jersey. From 1990 to 2002, he was Director of the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Invasive Cardiovascular Laboratory. He has been a member of the medical staff at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and Bayonne Medical Center. In addition, he has been Clinical Instructor of Medicine and Cardiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
A fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, Dr. Aueron is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular diseases. He is the Former New Jersey Governor of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
Dr. Aueron is the author of articles concerning a range of topics in his field, which are published in Interventional Cardiology.
