Campbell Soup Company is a worldwide manufacturer of soup, beverage, confectionery and prepared food products. The company is more than 135 years old and has more than $7 billion in annual sales. Its portfolio of more than 20 brands includes Campbell s soups, Swanson broths, Pepperidge Farm cookies, Pace Mexican sauces, Prego pasta sauces, Franco-American gravies and Godiva chocolates. The company was established in 1869 as Joseph A. Campbell Preserve Company. Douglas R Conant, president, has been the chief executive officer of the Campbell Soup Company for more than five years. He has been with the food manufacturer for over five years. From 1995 to 2000 Conant was president of Nabisco Foods Company. Conant earned BA and MBA degrees from Northwestern University. It has corporate headquarters in Camden, N.J., and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CPB.
