Founded in 1955, Albuquerque Academy School is an independent, college-preparatory day school. The school is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and the New Mexico State Department of Education. It provides educational services to more than 1,000 students from grades six through 12, and its academic curriculum include various subjects, such as English, history, mathematics, modern languages, science, and performing and visual arts. It provides a wide range of extracurricular activities that include sports, drama and theater, and student clubs and organizations. It also offers a wide range of experimental education and outreach programs, including voluntary and mandatory community service programs. The school is located in Albuquerque, Minn., and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.
