Opened in 1953, South Bay Elementary School enrolls approximately 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in art, music and physical education. South Bay Elementary School offers support services and before- and after-school tutoring sessions. It organizes family nights, Math Olympiad, science and book fairs, food drives, field days, art shows, family picnics, field trips, parent workshops, instrumental music concerts, spaghetti dinners and cultural arts programs. In addition, the school supports a student council and band, chorus, orchestra and computer clubs. South Bay Elementary School is located in West Babylon, N.Y., and is a part of the West Babylon School District.
