Established in 1972, the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority, also known as CNYRTA, works with a mission to strengthen and improve transportation for the residents of the state of New York. Its subsidiary corporations include CNY Centro, Centro of Cayuga, Centro of Oswego, Centro of Oneida, Call-A-Bus Paratransit Services and Centro Parking and ITC. The Central New York Regional Transportation Authority serves the residents of Onondaga, Cayuga, Oneida and Oswego counties in New York. It oversees a professional staff of more than 650 employees and serves over 12 million passengers every year. The authority offers shopper services to area groceries for senior citizens and individuals with various disabilities, as well as a variety of inter city and intracity services between several cities. The Central New York Regional Transportation Authority maintains a location in Syracuse, N.Y.
