The Hendrick Hudson School District serves more than 3,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12 through its elementary, middle and high schools, including Hendrick Hudson High School, Blue Mountain Middle School and Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School. The school district offers a comprehensive program of honors and advanced placement courses. It also operates a guidance department that provides academic, personal and career counseling and college placement counseling. The school district also offers a band, orchestra, supportive learning center and a range of academic intervention services. The Hendrick Hudson School District offers more than 40 interscholastic sport teams and extracurricular activities, including a nationally ranked debate team, mathletes group, newspaper and literary magazine groups, drama, student organizations, and art, science and foreign language clubs. The school district is located in Montrose, N.Y.
