About HWM Established in June, 2004, in historic Hudson, New York, Hudson Wine Mercahants offers the finest selections from all over the world at the most reasonable prices. We set up in the tradition of a Mom and Pop shop: we moved in above the store. Our dog keeps us company all day and our daughter has set up a play area in the back for her friends. Our backgrounds also add a dimension to the business. Prior to studying wine at WSET ( Wine and Spirit Education Trust ) and opening the store, Michael Albin, my husband, was an English professor. He has now started writing about wine. His teaching experience enhances his ability to speak with customers about wine and food pairings. Marianne Courville ( me ) is a visual artist and photography curator in New York City. She has filled the spare wall space with photographs on the subject of what else? wine. She is now planning to publish a book of great photographs about wine. Welcome to our website.
