History
I got my LCSW and began a private practice in 2016. However, before that I worked in many different venues, including outpatient mental health clinics, hospitals, HIV/AIDS centers, and internationally training laypeople and volunteers on clinical issues and developing intervention curricula in teams. I transfer all these experience into individual, couples, family, and, if needed, group therapy.
Specialties
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who practices in English, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, German, and itch. Naturally, I specialize in racial identity and cross-cultural and cross-linguistic issues, but I also have advanced training in trauma/PTSD, chronic illness and pain, depression and anxiety, and children' emotional and behavioral issues. I treat people from 2-102, and have experience with that entire age range, accumulated during my 22 years in practice. I think of myself as easygoing and approachable, but of course should a serious issue or a safety concern arise, I do leap to the occasion.
