The Lockport Fire Department works to preserve lives and property from fire, explosions, hazardous material incidents, medical emergencies, and natural and man-made disasters. It operates a communication center that has multichannel, programmable radios that assist in coordinating responses to various emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department conducts tours of the fire department and fire safety inspections. The Lockport Fire Department also supports various community-oriented programs and offers information regarding fire safety. Its other services include ambulance revenue recovery, public safety announcements, rescue operations, and training and safety. The department also provides copies of fire reports.
