Monroe-Woodbury High School, located in Central Valley, N.Y., offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrolment of more than 2,300 students. A numerical system is used for grading with 65 percent being the passing grade. Regents and final exams are used in the computation of the final grade and represent 20 percent of the final grade. Students must earn an average of 90 percent to be considered for the National Honor Society. The school is a part of the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District. The district's graduation requirements, including math, science, computer and personal management competencies exceed those of the New York State Education Department. Regents Diplomas are issued to those students earning up to 30 credits with sequences in all academic areas, credits in the practical arts and a community service requirement.
