The New York Hotel Trades Council is a group that provides benefits to employees and their families working in the hotel industry in New York City. The group offers its benefit services to more than 24,000 active members and their families and over 9,000 retirees. The various programs include medical, industry training, dental and optical program and pharmacy services. It also offers its dental services to spouses and dependents of members as well. The optical programs also offer various pharmacy benefits. Its training and scholarship fund is comprised of the industry training program and the scholarship program. The group s scholarship program provides financial assistance to dependant children of the members to further their education. In addition, the New York Hotel Trades Council s prepaid legal fund program provides attorney services to members for a wide range of legal matters.
