History
I received a degree in Economics from LSR and KLC in New Delhi, India. But my passion was always the arts. I would paint pictures in my free time and help my friends and family with their beauty needs. After coming to New York, I decided to turn my true passion into profession. I obtained licenses from my studies at the respected Pivot Point International for Hair and the famous Shahnaz Husain for facial and cosmetic work. From working out of my apartment in 1990, I followed my dreams of founding my very own salon in Queens, NY and am a proud owner of Neelu's Khubsoorat Beauty Salon in Hicksville, NY. Rather than opening up multiple locations, I prefer to have one parlor, which I can closely manage and where I can develop close relationships with my customers. My utmost goal is to make clients feel comfortable and look and feel beautiful! I aim to turn my customers into close friends and hope you will give me the opportunity to do just that!
