Rolfing is named after the late Dr. Ida P Rolf, who created this manual therapy over her life's work in medicine and holistic healing. Typically administered as a series of 10 sessions, each session addresses different parts of the body and different aspects of function. The Rolfing practitioner uses an assessment of your breathing, walking, and other movements to inform your specific needs. The step by step process is designed to organize the body in gravity, resulting in ease of movement and better posture, but often improves other aspects of wellbeing dramatically. Rolfing is often the solution for those with chronic pain, however, it is well suited to everyone - especially those who lead a strenuous life, whether mental or physical.
