History
Seneca is located in the Carolinas on a beautiful upstate 500-acre campus where another boarding school once operated for many years, until approximately 2009, Dr. Harold Dabel who had worked with it and consulted previously with other speciality schools for last 14 years both in the USA and internationally saw the facilities as the perfect place for young struggling adolescents to make real changes in their lives. With this mission in mind he created Seneca Ranch, a place where real change happens. Approximately two years later Dr Harold Dabel leased the facilitiy and started Seneca therapeutic boarding school for troubled youth. Dr. Dabel teamed up with other great professionals, such as therapist Jim Rosenburger with over 24 yrs experience working with struggling teens and others all with over 20 years experience. Our program is truly international in that we do a study abroad Spanish immersion in Costa Rica every year as part of the process
