History
I have a convergence of skills from 25 years of being an artist and from being; an organic farmer, a crafts-person, a designer, and an ecologically minded builder. Four years ago I moved to NYC and worked as a site super and a skilled carpenter for CMCS, a construction company that does mostly high apartment renovation. After the recession hit hard a year ago, I began my own business. I am particularly good at improvising with materials on hand and re-purposing them for your current needs. An example of this illustrated in the photos above is of a job in which the client needed doors for a some storage cabinets I built for them. They had two horizontally panelled doors that they loved, but were no longer practical as entrance doors. I carefully cut them into six small doors which saved the client money and saved the environmental cost of dumping the old ones and the energy and materials to build new ones. I am also a LEED accredited professional.
