Valley Stream South High School offers education to students in grades seven through 12. The school s curriculum includes career and technical education; English; mathematics; social studies; family and consumer science; visual and performing arts; and physical and health education. It provides a variety of extracurricular activities to students, such as yearbook, marching and jazz band, choir, debate and declamation contests, music and dramatics. The sports activities offered by the school include cross country, basketball, tennis, track, athletics, wrestling, volleyball, baseball and gymnastics. The school also has a library and media center that offers Internet access, books, magazines and journals to students. It is affiliated with Valley Stream Central High School District and has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students. The school is located in Valley Stream, N.Y.
