Established in 2001, DAK Americas is a supplier of terephthalic acid monomers, polyethylene terephthalate resins and polyester staple fibers for the western hemisphere. The company is located in Charlotte in North Carolina. It has received ISO 9001:2000 certification. DAK Americas has five manufacturing operations in the Southeast United States. The company also maintains facilities in Mexico and Argentina. It has a staff of more than 1,100 people. DAK Americas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alpek, which is a petrochemicals and synthetic fibers business group of Alfa, S.A.B. de C.V.
