Hale Chrome Service specializes in finishing applications for tools, dies and molds. The company has been in business for more than seven decades, breaking into the industry when the hard chrome plating process was the practice in the late 1920s. As the uses for chrome have expanded, so have the plating solutions, and Hale Chrome has come up with specialty applications, such as its DyClad process, which is a competitor to Armaloy. It also has implemented DyCrotuff, an alternative to titanium nitride, which uses a combination of hybrid micro-crack hard chrome solution with a proprietary impregnated dry lubricant that gives the item its applied to a mirror-like finish.
