Established in 1973, the National Middle School Association, also known as NMSA, serves the educational and developmental needs of adolescents. Its more than 25,000 members represent principals, teachers, professors, college students, parents, community leaders and educational consultants. The organization is affiliated with the Alabama Middle School Association, Florida League of Middle Schools, Georgia Middle School Association, Hawaii Association of Middle Schools and Idaho Middle Level Association. The National Middle School Association offers on-site staff development, advocacy, professional preparations services. The organization provides journals, books, research materials and other valuable information to assist educators. The National Middle School Association is headquartered in Westerville, Ohio.
